He was educated by the military because the military has such a great need for mental health professionals that they are willing to pay the costs of certain people all the way through their college and graduate school educations. The thing I find unpleasant is that he should have been identified as a real problem, removed from duty, and if his behavior did not improve dramatically, banned from any military post or base. Obama is a failure in protecting America because of his ignorance in believing he can talk to these people and they will agree to stop their war. I want to know how you can sit down and talk to people who would strap a nap sack filled with explosives on there own children’s back to get there point across? Many Doctors who specialize in a specific field spend over 200K for their educations. Yes, I’m peeved. I’m peeved because he could have easily gotten out of the military (which he hated) and that he was under investigation and nothing was done.
This man is a coward, a piece of scum who should be stoned alive!
What I’m upset with is that his chain of command and apparently the NSA, CIA, and Army Intelligence knew this guy was spouting pro-Jihad anti-American speech for two or more years before the shootings and did nothing – NOTHING – to intercept this guy. It’s downright disgraceful.
Any Army doctor agrees to serve 6 years in exchange for the education.
Apparently, the Army didn’t want to let him go and discharge him because of this — maybe they should have — or brought him up on charges.
The whole situation is upsetting to me.
That is the deal that he made with the Army. Many doctors have their education paid this way. I hate what he did, not that the Army gave him the opportunity to do good. He choose to be a murderer, not a healer.
People that murder are lacking rational thought. Why would any one who murders surprise you with his lack of courtesy? That’s like being surprised he had parking tickets.
His family should be charged with the cost of that education. Clearly, Mr. Hassan will not be holding to his end of the bargain.
