JOINT LIGHT TACTICAL VEHICLE |

Joint Light Tactical Vehicle or JLTV is a new tactical vehicle for US Army and US Marine Corps to replace the High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle or HMMWV. The main objection beside increasing protection to the crew or personnel transported with the vehicle there are improvement on payload and other performance.
The first contract awarded to the joint venture between General Dynamics Land Systems and AM General worthy US Dollar 45 million for called General Tactical Vehicles (GTV) JLTV. The contract for 27-month Technology Demonstration (TD) coming from US Army TACOM Life Cycle Management Command, and that is the one of three awardees to receive TD contracts under JLTV program.
The JLTV TD contract are include seven unit vehicles and four unit trailers for three different mission role, there are infantry, general-purpose and utility variant.. Completed with ballistic hulls (robust light-weight hybrid hull) and sample armor components for testing purpose. Design for each vehicle consists of ten sub-configurations. The vehicles using semi-active suspension system and digital cockpit.

ROYAL MALAYSIAN NAVY NEW CORVETTE |
June 3, 2009, Royal Malaysian Navy has received the 3rd KEDAH Class MEKO A-100 patrol corvette. The vessel inaugurate by Royal Malaysian Navy Commander Admiral Dato’ Sri Abdul Aziz bin Haji Jaafar at Lumut Naval Base.
The first two MEKO A-100 class patrol corvettes of Royal Malaysian Navy are KD Kedah (171) and KD Pahang (172). The 3rd is KD Perak (173). Royal Malaysian Navy totally ordered 6 units of this class of patrol corvettes. KD means Kapal Diraja or His Majesty’s Ship).
KD Perak fully builds by the local shipyard Boustead Naval Shipyard Sdn. Bhd. (BNSSB), Lumut, Perak. Developed based on concept called as “fitted for but not with”, it means the vessel able to modify to match with a combat situation without any complicated works.
The main role of the vessel is for patrol, but in any circumstances it will changes the role as a warship. Equipped with the latest technology sophisticated equipment that easy to operate makes the ships more efficient with a minimum crews.
Soon after sea crew exercise, the vessel will be sailed to her base at Tanjung Gelang Naval Base at Kuantan Pahang (under the Head Quarter Sea Area-1) that the cover area South China Sea.

EMBRAER AT PARIS AIR SHOW 2009. |
EMBRAER (Empresa Brasileira de Aeronautica S.A.) – Brazilian aircraft industries participate at 48th International Paris Air Show 2009. The factory promoted the entire products for commercial aviation and defence markets.
Embraer offering the traditional ERJ 145 family, EMBRAER 170/190 E-Jets family, Super Tucano, and under development KC-390 cargo and troop transporter jet aircraft.
Super Tucano the light attack and advanced trainer turboprop aircraft has more than 160 unit sold out. This aircraft is unique and proven solution for counter interagency (COIN) missions. Super Tucano also offers full jet training capability at turboprop operating costs, and is supported by the Training and Operation Support System (TOSS), consisting of a flight simulator, mission planning station, mission debriefing station and computer-based training that improves pilot learning.
KC-390 aircraft developed based on contract with Brazilian Air Force. The aircraft will be having a capability of aerial refueling and medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) mission configuration, and it is being designed to operate on short and rustic runways. The aircraft will be equipped by the fly-by-wire technology that lessens pilot workload and increases the safety.

PARIS INTERNATIONAL AIR SHOW 2009 |
Dated 15-21 June 2009 at Le Bourget.
One of biggest international air show, 48th INTERNATIONAL PARIS AIR SHOW will be open Monday, June 11, 2009. This event will be the biggest event in the middle of world financial crisis. The industries optimistic that the market still open. In this event the space of exhibition is fully booked with all the main manufacturers and subcontractors present.
Not less than 48 nations will be participated in this event and several hundred of manufacturers and contractors will show their innovation and latest products. Civil, military and commercial aircraft will be showing their advantages.
Not only fixed wing and rotary wing aircraft but also more than that of products will be displayed on the exhibition. The visitor also will be able to meet with some CEO of the industries to get more information of products and services.
The exhibition will be held by many Very Important Persons as well as top-brass military officers.
